Q:How Should I prepare for massage in my home?
A:Find a space in your home that is relaxing to you. Allow space for a massage table. Remember this session is about you. This is your time to relax and unwind. Some clients like to take a relaxing bath before their session, meditate, yoga, go for a jog, lounge in a robe drinking water, soak in a hot tub or sauna and some will be just returning from work. Just remember to take a moment and let go of your stress. If this is difficult for you I can gladly help you in the process of leaving your stress behind. If this is a special occasion for a couple’s massage some clients like to prepare something special for their partner a warm bath, a favorite snack (not too much before the massage as it is not always comfortable to lay on a full tummy), Candles, create that atmosphere that fits for you. Some clients even prefer to create a room reserved for relaxation, having your own table and sheets means you don’t have to even get off the table when I leave. Q: What should I do during a massage?
A: Make yourself comfortable. If I want you to adjust your position I will either move you or will tell you what is needed. Many people close their eyes and relax completely; others prefer to talk. It’s your massage, do whatever feels natural to you. Breathe
Q: What should I expect afterwards?
A: Massage can be profoundly relaxing. Give yourself a moment to reorient before slowly getting up. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience an increase in energy that can last for several days. Other results may include pain relief, increased mobility or reduced stress. If you received deep work, you may have some tenderness after your massage. Make sure to drink plenty of water!
Q: Isn’t massage a luxury? Can I afford it?
A: Massage is more than a luxury. It promotes health by relieving stress, reducing muscle tension, increasing circulation, and enhancing your overall energy. If you are concerned about affordability and would like to have massage as a regular part of your healthy lifestyle, talk to me about options.
Q: How frequently should I get a massage?
A: The more frequently you receive a massage, the more benefits you will notice. I can help you decide the best frequency for your appointments to meet your specific needs. If you feel you are under so much pressure you can’t afford to relax, this may be the time you most need to take time out to strengthen your reserves..
Q: How do I find out more?
A: You may still have questions, and you are right to be careful. Feel free to call me and I will be happy to discuss your questions over the phone or in person before you book an appointment. In the end, the best answers will come from experiencing a massage first hand.
Q: What will my Therapist Bring to my home? Can I add to this?
A: Your Therapist will bring a Massage Table/Chair, Sheets, Creme and Music. Depending on the occasion, anniversary or deluxe package you select, your therapist may be bringing additional items to create a more indulgent atmosphere for you and your friends or loved ones. If you would like to provide any of the above mentioned items please discuss this with Cheryl as she encourages you to create your own Relaxation Spot (Note: I do not bring candles, you are welcome to provide you’re own if you are comfortable with this)
Q: Today is my Wife/Mother’s/Friend’s Birthday Anniversary, and I don’t have a gift?
A: There is no need to panic. Massage is the gift that everyone loves!
